There is much good news for public education in Governor Wolf’s proposed 2021-2022 state budget. The governor’s plan is a giant step in the right direction towards funding equity for our state’s most under-funded districts, which happen to be ones with high enrollments and high proportions of Black and brown students. For years, PA’s school funding system has given the least to the students whose need is greatest.
