11:00 am: 10th Congressional: Visit to Rep. Scott Perry
October 1, 2019
Indivisibles of the PA-10th Congressional District assembled at all three local offices of Representative Scott Perry to share their profoundly disappointment at Perry’s dismissive comments about the establishment of an impeachment inquiry into the actions of the President of the United States. See the full text of the letter Letter to Scott Perry.
Included with the letter were the White House released transcript of the phone conversation with the Ukrainian president, the whistleblower complaint and two other documents relevant to the inquiry. Our Indivisible 10th called on Perry to personally read these documents and not rely on others to summarize or interpret them for him.
The letter continued that “[T]his President’s actions require serious scrutiny to determine if they meet the criteria for ‘high crimes and misdemeanors.’ If so, and we believe they do, they warrant impeachment in the House, trial in the Senate and ultimately removal from office. Fulfill your obligation to your country and your constituents. Place county before party and ideology and decide for yourself re: impeachment based on facts and evidence.”
