The Derry Township School Board will host a presentation from BE SMART (a campaign to raise awareness about responsible gun storage – storing guns locked, unloaded and separate from ammunition) on Monday, Sept 23rd at 7PM in the district office on Granada Ave.
Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America wishes to raise awareness about responsible gun storage and how that can save children’s lives. Be SMART emphasizes that it’s an adult responsibility to keep kids from accessing guns, and that every adult can play a role in keeping kids and communities safer.
Be SMART volunteers in our community and nearly 3,000 trained volunteers across the country plan to continue to deliver the Be SMART message in the months ahead. Since the inception of the program in May, 2015, they have held over 4,100 events in all 50 states. Please attend this important program and help spread the message.
